SUMMER CAMPS!!!
9am to 2pm. 5 days per week. Cost: $175.00 per week
Each camp needs at least 10 students signed up.
June 21-25 2010 Music week cost: $175.00
We will have an introduction to the staff, treble clef, and the c major scale. We will learn about composers, instruments, vibration, notes, rhythms, and many many new songs!! Make instruments, count rhythms, and spell and write out musical terms. Compose music, and conduct an all student orchestra! Guest artists visiting throughout the week!
June 28th - July 2: Dinosaur week! Cost: $175.00
Your little paleontologist will learn all about dinosaurs! Go on a fossil dig! Learn how the dinosaurs came to be extinct. Learn the names of the different dinosaurs, and how they lived and what food they ate. Learn about herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores. Do dinosaur math, spell and write dinosaur names! do dinosaur art, and learn dinosaur songs!
July 4th through 19th: 2 weeks break! Teacher Kelly is gone on a graduation trip with daughter Amanda and family. :-)
July 20-23: Gymnastics week! Cost: $140.00 This is a 4 day week. No Monday class this week.
What we will learn: stretches, gymnastics terminology & we will learn all the major body positions. Introduction to the apparatus: beams, bars, mats, slant mat, mailbox mat. Bridges, handstands, cartwheels. For advanced gymnasts: we will be learning back-walkovers, back-handsprings, beam work, and more advanced bar work.
Every day we will play a gymnastics game!! We will have outdoor gymnastics on beautiful days too!
July 26th-30th: Art Camp! cost: $175.00 learn about color theory, primary, secondary and tertiary colors. Artists: Van Gogh and Monet. use various mediums; acrylic, watercolor, chalk, colored pencil, charcoal. Representational art through abstract. Your child will bring home framable art!
August 2nd - 6th: Math and Reading week! Cost: $175.00
This week we will embrace all that is math and reading! All levels are welcome, each child will receive individualized lessons. A great way to be sure to give your child that extra boost before the new school year. Beginning letter sounds, and beginning counting, all the way up to squaring, cubing, and reading advanced spelling words, and writing sentences!
